  1. Hi Cynthia, came across your post while googling for taobao furniture. I'm looking to purchase some furniture from taobao too but am unsure about the shipping.

How do you ship your furniture over? Via which agent? What kind of charges should I be anticipating and how long did it take?

    Thanks so mucH in advance!

    1. Hello, I used peeka to ship my furniture to SG. You can get an estimate from them based on items purchased. It took about 2 weeks from the time items left Peeka's shipping centre in China. That excludes time for seller to send to Peeka and your payment lapse time etc.

For Peeka there's shipping fees and an agent fee on top of product price.

  2. Hi Cynthia,

I've been a follower of your blog and enjoy your posts especially on Taobao. I am new and quite clueless about Taobao but I would like to get some items like dining table, chairs and home itms from there. However, I am having difficulties estimating the shipping to SG as some sellers do not receive details on package dimensions.

May I know if all your furniture came in 1 shipping and how much would that be? I am trying to see if I order the exact same dining table as you, will that exceed 1cbm as I intend to add on other items as well. /

    Thank you very much!

    1. Hello,

It depends on how you intend to bring the goods in.. via agent? Via forwarders?

Agents will be able to get a size estimate from seller. If you're doing your own coordination, you'll be able to get the estimates by contacting the seller through aliwangwang.

Mine came in various batches as there were hiccups.. 1cbm isn't that tough to fill if you have lots of stuff to buy for furbishing your place (:

  4. Hi Cynthia, understand that you're currently using 4px as your forwarder instead of Peeka. Do you find their cost more competitive? I'm actually trying to get a book shelf over and was quoted almost $300 for it when the shelf costs only $150. I wouldn't mind getting more stuff if it helps spread the shipping cost out a little. Was advised that 4px ships a max of 30kg only though. Any advice? -B

    1. hello,

4px has a cap of 30kg and 1.2m. You'd have to use agents or independent forwarders to get larger items. I used peeka back then when I shipped in my larger items.

  5. Hi Cynthia. I was looking through your taobao directory for the link to the blackboard paper but cannot seem to find it. Do you still have the link to the vendor? Thank you!!! SS

    1. hello!

I did not share that as it wasn't good to use. You may want to consider chalkboard paint instead

I am browsing through webpage and saw your blog. I think it was wonderful for you to share. I would like to understand from you what is the individual weight for the dining chair, dining table and sofa you bought?

I am thinking if I may a rough sense of the shipping price. Thanks in advance!

    1. Hello,

I went through sea shipping so it was calculated by volume. I paid about 800sgd for the entire set inclusive of shipping.
